Back in NYC...Finally starting to catch my breath and settle back into New York! The tour was so much fun... I fell in love with traveling, and the West Coast in the summertime is quite the sight to behold! I also insisted we stop the van at every major river and lake we passed so I could jump in... definately different water than the East River in Manhattan. A big thanks to all our wonderful friends and supporters along the way!
![]() (House concert over looking the Deschutes River in Bend, OR) I'm already starting to plan a few stops near Seattle in October when we fly out to Alaska to open for Red Molly! See you soon West Coast... Friday, July 9th, 2010 9:55 PM EDT
Alaska ShowI'm very excited! Just got asked to open for Red Molly at the Orpheum Theater in Kodiak, Alaska... I've never been to Alaska, but due to the heat in New York lately this sounds like heaven to me! Will probably turn this into a bit of a tour... They also just featured my cd on the NPR station KMXT-FM...

L.I.C. Bar![]() Looking forward to playing tonight... it's nice to mix it up and play with just bass and guitar sometimes... I really enjoy the space. Plus makes me appreciate the full sound when we do a set with drums, bass, organ, piano, etc... I feel quite lucky to be getting these chances to play with such talented musicians. Plus, playing with Jimi Zhivago is always a treat... according to Mark S. Tucker, from The Folk and Acoustic Music Exchange, "Zhivago is a crucial element in the work, as he seems cut right from the composer's heart, complementing Riffle's complicated subtleties in finely honed sensitivities and abstract extensions." This will be my last show in NY for a while... as I'm getting ready for my west coast tour (July 17th - 30th)! Also I should have a video soon posted from our last Living Room concert... Shot with two cameras by Robert O'Haire!
